Ok… ok… I caved.

I wasn’t going to do it, but then Cynthia Ware tweeted the other day that people had started writing hers FOR her and it kinda freaked me out.  Then, today, I saw THIS video post by Annie Parsons and thought, “BRILLIANT!!!  That’s the format I’m going with!”

The video is almost 7.5 minutes long so grab a snack or drink and let me amuse you for a bit.  Here goes:

25 Random Things About Me from Jenni Clayville on Vimeo.

I got nothin’ more clever than that format sister. The Greg Oden thing was hilarious. Relieved to see you’ve recovered from your allergy attack last weekend.

loved it! if it helps my coworker’s daughter and my son watched with me. does that bring your numbers up? or do we need to watch it more than once? lol

  3. Jilly… I think that’s why my nose has a scab. Your cat gave my nose a scab.

I thought you would say more about me, but at least you weren’t mocking my sleep habits or snoring.

You owe me for the Greg Oden prop by the way.

Oh and Happy Birthday was sung by Marilyn Monroe in the 60′s for JFK’s birthday party. I don’t think you were born yet. Just thought you should know that the checks won’t be showing up for your royalties.

    Yenni -
O-my-gosh, you rock! I loved this. I watched the whole thing and when it was over I thought, “really? It’s been 7.5 minutes already?”

Okay, so when did you switch? I thought peppermint patties were your favorite?!

Love you and YES we need to get together – I just need my eyesight to get a tad better so I can drive. BOO!

    [Reply]

  6. Hubby – YOU OWE ME for putting up with that Greg Oden bobble head. It scares the bejeezus out of everyone who lives here but you.

Alli – I miss your FACE!!! How ’bout I come out and just pick you up. Seriously… I miss you THAT much! I STILL love peppermint patties… but I didn’t have that as a prop tonight, so M&M’s were it. The are pretty much tied though… well… chocolate in general.

  7. Jenna says:

    1. I’m the “big” sister. Which is a joke because my younger brother, who is 3 years YOUNGER than me is OVER a foot and half taller than me.

    2. I still sleep with a teddy bear. His name is Teddy Betty. I got him when I was 4 months old. And he has no face.

    3. I have to have my toenails painted. This is due to a tattoo on my left foot and a funny “shrek” toe on my right foot.

  10. Rainee says:

3 things about me: I was a part of the Downtown House of Prayer in Portland, Oregon, from the summer of 2000 to December of ’05 when I moved here. I ran cross country in high school, in spite of my being blind. Mind you, I sucked, and it really wasn’t my preference. I’d have rather run track. Still, it’s a memory. Lastly, my fave fabric is velvet. I’ll proudly wear it even in summer, despite loved ones who say it’s not fashionable. One fact about you: U R too cute! Blessings.

  11. Jenna – I saw your Teddy Betty at Houseboat and it scared me almost as much as Greg Oden does. And thanks, about your P.S. It’s totally true.

Lauren – you should post something like this on your own blog.

Rainee – How in the world did you run blind? I can barely run and I can see.

So funny! That was a fast 7.5 minutes! I love peanut M&Ms too! I use a lot of exclamation points when I leave comments! Your Nikon D70 is a nice camera! (It sounded like you were dissing it. Maybe not?) I wrote 100 things about myself on my blog, so I think I’m covered for at least 4 years. At least! And mine weren’t nearly as interesting as yours! I think you need to do a segment like this…oh…every month or so!
    :)

  15. Christy – are you gonna do yours? Or at least leave me 3 random things about you?

David – will you sing your 25 in a song?

Elaine – I love exclamation marks!!! I have to use them in groups of three though. Also, I was NOT dissing my camera. I LOVE her… I just wish I had more accessories to keep her company.

i’m a twitter follower & saw your 25 random things on your website. hate to inform you, but the authors of the happy bday song are known (see wikipedia http://is.gd/iSHP ). Excerpt: The melody of “Happy Birthday to You” comes from the song “Good Morning to All”, which was written and composed by American sisters Patty Hill and Mildred J. Hill in 1893… the copyright won’t expire until 2030, and that unauthorized public performances of the song are technically illegal unless royalties are paid to it.

  25. BUMMER!!! Guess I’ll actually have to write a song now.

So, question, Elle… what about the performance from Marilyn Monroe???

    3 things about me:

    1. i’m a cultural outlier. i watch no regular tv (it broke a few years ago & i never resumed my cable). now i only watch dvd’s or stuff at other people’s houses. my brother tivo’s stuff for me. i get my news from radio, online, & friends.

    2. you’ve heard “everything but the squeal” re: pigs? i watch all the credits in the movie theatre & all the bonus material on dvd’s. yes even the commentary! i find some of the details fascinating. one exception: LOTR extended version was too much for me.

    3. i like to listen to c-span radio coverage of the sunday morning news shows when i can (e.g. face the nation, meet the press, etc.).
