… STAYS TOGETHER.
After the Exponential Conference in Orlando, Florida last week, Matt took us to Universal Studios for a day and a half. We did this for multiple reasons:
- We were already across the street from Universal… so why not.
- It was an EXCELLENT way to let all the information we just heard really soak in before heading home to jump back into life.
- In real life, we don’t get as much time to just “hang out” due to work. It was a good way to just enjoy one another’s company.
- We love roller coasters. There is something really bonding about screaming together on a roller coaster.
Here are some pictures of our time together (Matt, Brian, Paxton & Me):
The boys.
Our first ride at Universal was on The Mummy.
The best part was the “Child Swap” lines. This helped us get to the front of the lines for all the rides… but one of us was always left out to watch Paxton. Here I am… not happy about it.
There’s a whole land just for Krusty. Gross.
This ride made me and Matt REALLY motion sick.
The Hulk.
We rode this ride 3 times.
Jurassic Park.
I think this is a Pterodactyl leg. Is it sad that I only bought this because I wanted the picture? I didn’t finish it either. Way too much food!
Scorpion Lollipops. Gross! I threw up in the store.
Poseidon’s Fury. Apparently, not furious enough… it was HOT there.
Holding Kobe Bryant’s hand.
Hard Rock Cafe.
Universal Studios Logo. The midst kept us cool.
NBA City… I was almost as tall as this statue. Really…
Matt’s thoughts on screen for all to see.
It was a BLAST!!!
So you tell me: ”All work and no play make me a (fill in the blank).”

biotch.
cool pics.
Ok, those turkey legs make me want to vomit. Not sure why. They were all over Florida when we went to WDW and I could not get over it.
It’s freaky.
And to answer your quote:
…make me a woman with nothing to blog about.
muahaha.
crystal & erika – HA!!! you girls are funny.
jenn – thanks. they were all taken with my iPhone, so the quality isn’t the best, but you get the idea
… Thirsty.
And I would like details on the child swap. Clearly you didn’t swap your child far a spot in line.
Those scorpion suckers made me want to hurl! Granted, I’m nauseous a lot right now, but seriously.. who eats those?
And the turkey leg? I am SO jealous. When we went to our last NASCAR race in Vegas they RAN OUT before I could get one. I still have yet to taste one. Actually sounds good now.. hmmm.. maybe I should send Doug out on a mission…
Looks like you guys had such a fun time! Can’t wait to get there someday with the kids!
xo
Chris – nice… thirsty. Ok… “child swap” – you wheel the stroller up there and one person stays with the kid while the other rides the roller coaster. when the first person exits the ride, the second person takes their place WITHOUT having to go to the back of line. This is great since lines are 30 minutes to an hour long. nice, huh?
Steph – the turkey leg was ok. not as great as it looked, but the picture is AWESOME!!! So worth it for me.
All work and no play.. make me a latte.
