At 32 weeks, we’ve finally come to a decision on the name of Baby #2.
You can stop calling him “Baby #2″ or “Baby Boy” or “the Bump” now and you can start calling him by his name:
PAXTON JOEL
Where did we get this name? Good question…
I made up “Paxton”. When I say “I made it up”, I mean I’m sure it really exists and someone else is named that, but we didn’t get it out of a book or anything. I was getting my hair done and it just popped up in my head.
“Pax” means PEACE in Latin. I remember singing that in high school. I’m definitely at a place in my life where I feel God’s peace.
“Joel” means The Lord is God. Joel was also a minor prophet in the Bible.
What a declaration of meaning in a name!
We’re happy to finally have a name for our son. I can’t wait to meet him in less than 8 weeks.

I like it!
very cool
Good unique name. Nice job Clayvilles!
LOVE IT!! Can’t wait to meet Mr. Pax xoxo
Joel is my favorite Minor Prophet (and not just because he only wrote four chapters…)! Good choice.
Nice! That was my wife’s uncle’s iguana’s pet name when he was younger.
It was good from what I heard…
I’m glad you guys (well, the one’s who commented) like the name.
Michael… I’m not sure how to feel about that.
Great choice of a name! I can’t believe you are so close to having this little guy. Seems like it was just last week that we were talking on the phone and you told me you were pregnant.
I hope the next few weeks are comfortable for you and go by quickly.
I like it! Even though Angelina Jolie already has a son named Pax.
I don’t know Angelina personally…though I’m sure she wishes she was my friend… so I’m thinking it’s ok
fabulous name! missed this announcement when i was gone!
I have a son named Paxton Alexander. He was born in April 2008. It’s a great name and we haven’t met any other babies with his name yet. My brother calls him Pac-Man which is also a cute nick name. Good luck with your Paxton!
