Art on my Bloggity

Meet my friend, Kyle Reed.

He is responsible for JenniClayville.com’s makeover.

Kyle ripped this out of his creative soul this week while I was in Nashville. I had to promise him a seat next to me in Heaven to get him to work on it (I’m not sure why he agreed, but don’t tell him I have no say in those decisions)… but after I had sold him my firstborn, birthright and birthmarks, he agreed to get to work.

JUST KIDDING!

He let me keep my firstborn.

Once Kyle got started, I was honestly shocked because every time I looked over my shoulder at him, a new section was done. All I can say is Kyle is worth every single penny I don’t have. In fact, I would say he’s worth every penny YOU have.

If you need some graphic design work or need helping writing code, contact Kyle. He’s fast, creative and really quite easy to work with.

I’m hoping my makeover propels me to blog more. Maybe you can help me with that.

Dos Preguntas… that’s “Two Questions” in Spanish:
1. What would you like to see me write about?
2. When’s the last time YOU had a makeover… of any kind?

GO!

New Look

… here at the JenniClayville.com.

Last night, the theme I WAS using went a little nuts. I was thinking it was time to change the look of my blog anyway… so I just did.

There’s a lot of things I still need to personalize and fix up… but before I do, just wanted to get YOUR thoughts. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Is your opinion somewhere in between?

On a scale from 1 – 10 (1=SO ugly and 10=BEST LOOK EVER), what do YOU think?

I Love Photoshop

I couldn’t post these till now.

Last week, Kurt, Kembe and I counted down for Mike’s arrival.  We couldn’t wait for him to get here.  We decided to take pictures and "white out" where he SHOULD have been with us.  It was our way of letting him know we were anxiously awaiting his arrival… and that he belongs with us on our team.

We took pictures (with Aaron Soule as the stunt double) and I traced Aaron’s outline to make it "Mike".

In order from left to right, top to bottom:

  1. Mike in his office
  2. Student Ministries Staff Meeting
  3. Storage Closet that needs cleaning
  4. Reserved Parking for Youth Pastors
  5. At Starbucks
  6. Kurt & Mike in the loo (weird… I know)
  7. At the Watercooler (no one really does this, do they?)
  8. Out in the field – Westview HS

It’s important to help make co-workers needed and appreciated.

How do you do that with/for your staff?

Here’s the outcome of my time and effort from Jos’ awesome girls night out at CeramiCafe.

Fake it till you make it, right?

Need A New Banner

I was thinking something festive for a new banner.  Jocelyn has such a sweet Christmas-y feel to hers… I wanted to do the same, so I sat down in front of LULU and opened up Adobe Photoshop.

That was an hour ago.

I couldn’t pull out anything creative so I started reading other people’s blogs.  I remembered how many cutie pictures Allison had on her blog, so I took a few pictures from her site just for fun.  The next thing you know… I created a new banner for Jay and posted it up for him.

At least I got a banner done… even though it wasn’t for myself.

BTW… I don’t know why… but I have access to many of my friend’s blogs.  Some would call me a bit of a "prankster" and when I think about it, I could actually do some serious damage on some of their blogs.  But blogs are the ONE thing I won’t ever mess around with.  Don’t know why that is… that’s just something I feel strongly about.

That doesn’t mean I won’t dream about it though.

Merry Christmas, Jay, and Happy New Banner.

Name Cards

I just finished these name cards for the MOMS Brunch tomorrow and put them in my car so I won’t forget.

I must figure out what my music set will be.

WAIT… but I can’t because I hear a baby waking. Peace out!
