I feel the need to blog, but since I can’t seem to gather my thoughts in paragraphical form… “floating thoughts” it is:
Thoughts Floating
Dear Matt… I will not pay you for your rights on the "Floating Thoughts" title because you are NOT the boss of me.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way. I can’t seem to connect my thoughts at this moment, but I’ve got a lot of thoughts shooting around in my little Asian head. Since I need to save myself and get these out, you… my dear readers… shall receive the unfortunate brunt of it.
WARNING: this may be weird and damaging to small children and some adults.
- Tadpoles are funny looking and rarely stay alive to see frog-hood when they go home with small children.
- Why is the anticipation of being tickled almost WORSE than actually being tickled?
- My friends, Jonathan and Serena, are most likely giving birth to their third child right now in their home… LITERALLY in their HOME. That’s crazy enough as it is. Here’s the kicker: they’re one of the 250,000 people without power in Seattle right now. It’s called a HOSPITAL, friends!!! Hats off to you, peeps!
- Yay for a new Christmas banner and background.
- I spent $35 at Costco today. I consider that a total miracle (I rarely get out of there spending anything less than $150).
- Chance flirted with a married woman today at Spaghetti Factory. He flirted with her husband too. They flirted back. If Chance was 18… that would NOT have been happening.
- Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get… unless you follow the picture diagram that come WITH the box of chocolates.
- At dinner today, the waitress told us that we had a very cute baby GIRL. WTH, woman!!! Just cuz he’s wearing green froggies on his shirt doesn’t make him a girl.
- Chance is getting a haircut tomorrow.
- There’s nothing like sitting around all day talking to your best friend in the whole wide world about the most random things. Don’t you wish you could do that everyday, ALL THE TIME???
- What chemicals do I need to pour into my toilet to get rid of the hard water lines that have been there since the day we moved in?
- I’m going to wash my walls tomorrow. Is that weird?
- I don’t have BSF till next year. I’m kind of happy about that since Paul is not so kind with me.
- Why do teenagers insist on driving to school EVEN if their house backs up to the school itself AND it would take less time to walk there than to drive there?
- My favorite holiday drivers are the ones who get mad at you when they’re the faulty drivers. My favorite response: the smile and wave.
- I got my downstairs carpets and staircase cleaned today for $130. Paul Heywood with TEK CLEANING does the best job. Everyone in Portland should use him – (503) 356-6801. CALL HIM. Support a local small business owner today.
- Asian is in… there were many of them in The Office the other night.
- If someone "sharpie’s" me just to be funny, I’m gonna kung-fu chop them!
- I’m sick of re-runs.
- I saw a lady wheeling out a HUGE plasma tv at Costco today. Someone is going to have a SWEET present to open up. I think someone wants to get me that for Christmas too… they just don’t know it yet.
- Countdown till 24 starts.
- I’m hungry right now… again…
- We (like the Singley’s) haven’t lost power during this storm season either… and we don’t live on a hill.
- Why do monkey’s fling poop at people? Why don’t we?
- My hair is getting really long.
- I love Doritos… and all who bring me Doritos.
- I’m hungry.
I gotta go get a snack before this Tylenol PM kicks me in the face.
Word up, Homie G!
Floating Thoughts
Nothing really special going on over here. Since we just returned from a long weekend in La Grande, it’s really just cleaning and house upkeep right now. So, I thought I’d just give you some floating thoughts (no… I’m not paying you, Singley!):
* Laundry is a never-ending adventure. I need to stop looking at it like I’ll be “done” one day.
* When you leave on vacation, is there some weird monster that comes in and blows extra dust on everything in your home and creates more gunk in your sink to Comet up?
* Comet: love that stuff… I “Comet-ed” every sink and tub in the house today. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
* We lost a bunch of broccolini, a red pepper, a green pepper, a yellow pepper, a bag of green beans, an eggplant and some lettuce to the “Refrigerator-Monster” while we were gone. That’s like $10 worth of veges. *sigh*
* I wasted a fresh diaper today by pulling one of the tabs off right when I was fastening it onto Chance. Ugh… that’s, like, $0.25 I just ripped up.
* I’ve been trying to upload a Thankgiving video onto YouTube for almost 24 hours now. I’m thinking I’m not supposed to show you the video of Chance experiencing his first snow.
* I’m playing the bass this weekend at church. I like playing the bass. It’s sweet. It makes me feel like I have some kind of talent… except that I find it very difficult to stretch my fingers to play correctly over the frets (their wider than the guitar frets)… so I play the bass incorrectly and it’s even more fun.
* “Amazed” – playing that song this weekend. Original key: A. Memorized in the key of A. Fingers naturally go to the bassline in A. We’re playing it in the key of G this weekend. I can’t seem to retrain my muscle memory. It’s currently a very awkward sounding song on bass alone.
* Jay McKenney leaves funny machine messages.
* Chance bit me today. I told him “no.” He laughed at me… then cried. Don’t know what that means.
* BSF was tough last night.
* I’m looking forward to hanging out with the Singley kids for 10 days.
* I’m looking forward to decorating my house with Christmas stuff.
* I love cuddles.
* I’m thirsty and this O’Doul’s isn’t cutting it!
* Something is going on with me. I’ve started biting my nails again. Maybe it’s because I hate Christmas. Not the Jesus part… the expectations of “traditions” in the family pretending we’re family part.
* Picked up my PartyLite order today. Each candle in my house is burning right now. I love candles.
I’m gonna head downstairs to work on “Amazed” again. Maybe this time, my fingers will play in the new key.
