Father’s Day

We’re here in La Grande, spending Father’s Day with three generations of Clayville Dad’s… my favorite being my Brian.

I love you, Brian…
You’re an amazing father, and there’s no one I’d rather raise our boys with than with you.

Thank you for choosing me…
… for choosing us.

Thank you for all our happy days.

happy fathers day, brian! you truly are one of the most remarkable dads i know. coming from a girl who didnt have a dad, i just want to say thank you. thank you for the love that you so unselfishly pour into your family. the way you care for chance and pax. but the way you love jenni…will speak more to your sons than anything you will ever do. and you do that well too.

so…my heartfelt thanks to you for choosing to be a Dad!

I have to agree with Tam on this one. It’s been a real privilege to be able to spend time with you two, and see how you parent. I always get really impacted by observing how dad’s act & react to their kids – I think it’s because I was blessed enough to have a ‘present’ dad who spent a lot of time with us, and showed us how much he cared.

Observing how Brian is with Chance & Pax is AWESOME. He’s so hands on, so switched on & sensitive to their needs, and obviously sows into his sons lives…it’s pretty special, it’s commendable, and noticeable. It’s been and continues to be a pleasure to witness on a daily basis. And to be honest, it’s kinda like how we aim for things to be when we get round to having kids.

So, I guess I should really say thanks to Brian, and to Dennis & Bob for allowing us to be with them on Father’s Day yesterday. It made what has in latter years been a day of sadness, loss & remembrance into something that gave me a lot of joy.
