As we were traveling back from La Grande yesterday, I kept thinking… this is the most BEAUTIFUL drive. Look at all the water, hills, mountains… God is so good.
Then I saw all the bridges.
Crystal is scared of bridges.
Here’s a video I took of her from her last visit here when we went over the Hawthorne Bridge:
So I took photos of as many as I could. This post is for you, Pinkie!
And just for fun… here’s something else to be feared:
Miss you, Crystal! Thinking of you today!

ps. i can’t even tell what is happening in that second picture. how does someone cross that bridge? what is that higher part in the middle? i’m so confused by that bridge.

that part of the bridge goes up to allow for bigger boats to go under. moveable bridges… mmmm….

Being on a movable bridge (on the movable bit) while it’s moving is a much treasured childhood memory.
Parents were slightly freaked though…

i still don’t get it.

crystal – if the bridge didn’t go up and down, larger boats wouldn’t be able to pass through. it’s a different version from a draw bridge. want me to draw you a picture?
