LifeGroup moves to TokBox

I’m IN LOVE with our LifeGroup Online.

Last night, we had people from Georgia (Christy) all the way to Hawaii (Sarah, who we’ve lovingly nicknamed “Pocahontas Lasagna”) joining us on LifeGroup.  We even had Australia (David) pop in for a short time.

We’re INTERNATIONAL, people!

We moved to TokBox so we could start facilitating a more “lifegroup” feel since we’re going to dive into The Search For Significance” by Dr. Robert McGee starting next week.  Tokbox will allow us to have a more conversational group time… so I hope you’ll be able to join us next week.

The amazing thing is how long the evening ended up going for some of us.  LifeGroup is shaping into quite a powerful resource for believers all over.  I feel blessed to be apart of it.

Here’s a few screenshots I took AFTER group was over… and the rest of us “clingers” stayed behind… late into the night:

When it was dark for everyone… except Sarah, in Hawaii… so she showed us the view from her house.

When Jordan showed us the back of his head, and Crystal figured out how to make herself show up TWICE…

When Sarah wanted to show us her vertical blinds and Jordan decided to speak through his stuffed dog…

We laughed so hard last night.  It was a BLAST… and the best part was seeing everyone’s faces and hearing their voices.  My abs hurt today from laughing.  That’s a good thing.

When’s the last time YOU felt like you were a part of something REALLY GREAT?

The last time I felt like I was a part of something really great was yesterday (Wednesday) during our student ministries outreach. It’s awesome to see the youth of Denver be transformed into life changers!

Why, last night of course! That was a lot of fun, but the night ended way too soon!

I am so sad i missed it, but I was sick. I didn’t wanna hack & sneeze into the microphone.

Did you guys just chat? Cuz I’m not gonna read the book. Maybe I could at least show up for the fellowshipping.

I’ve been wanting to read that book with a group for a while. I might email pink haired girl and inquire…

My life mainly. God is doing some great work in it and I know He has more for me, which is exciting, yet scary at the same time. And of course, LifeGroup Online is awesome! I love our community that we have and have gained so quickly. God ROCKS!!!! (i used to not be able to truly say that)

I’ve wanted to read that book for years. I think I started it once. Wednesday nights aren’t good for me…Seth is gone. But maybe I’ll read it anyway!

Mandy – you can still join us, but save your funny comments for after the study conversation. :) It will still be good for your hear what we’ve gained from the reading.

Steph – don’t you want to read it again. This will be my 4th time reading it. You should join us.

David – I can’t wait for the day you can really join… we KNOW you’re in the middle of your work day in Australia then, so we ain’t mad atcha!

Elaine – You can join us and just mute your computer. Feel free to come and go as you need to. It’s pretty informal. We do lifegroup online because we can do it from home.

  13. Jenni Clayville February 5, 2009 at 10:38 pm #

Stacey – We meet ONLINE at 6:30pm every wednesday. We’re doing the first chapter for this week. We’ll be talking about it next Wednesday. All you need to do is sign up for a TokBox account and add me as a friend. Go to http://www.tokbox.com/JenniClayville to get set up. You’ll also need earbuds so there’s no feedback. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

Jennifer – AWESOME!!! Join us when you can. The book study part will obviously be at 6:30 but we may run over. Come in and chat though :)
