My BFF’s, Jenn, Allison and Holly, threw me and Paxton a baby shower yesterday.
Paxton got some really cute and sweet gifts, but the best was seeing all my girlfriends I haven’t seen in so long. I really have gone into a bit of a seclusion since I don’t feel 100%.
Pictured from left to right, top to bottom: Mo, Angela, Lacy (and Olivia), Karen, Cynthia, Leigh & Laura. Next row: Jenn, Alli, Me (shiny from being hot… what’s new), Rose, Elya and Holly on the bottom. Weird… Jennifer was there too, but not in the picture. Bathroom maybe… she IS preggo too ya know. Carrie was there too… but she took this picture.
Oh… just found another group picture. Here’s one that Alli took so Carrie and Jennifer are in the pic:
Rose cracks me up. HA!
It was so AWESOME seeing these ladies. I really miss all my girlfriends. I know I’ve said this before, but I really can’t believe I wrote that. If you asked me 10 years ago about my girlfriends, I would have laughed in your face.
For the longest time, I didn’t feel I could ever have girlfriends. Some of it was me, but the truth is this: most girls are mean. Though SOME are still mean, I seem to have found the pocket of AWESOME ones.
Thanks, girls, for loving me, my family and Paxton. I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends.
Here I am… at 35 weeks of pregnancy.
Cheers!

I am glad you have some great girl friends. I know you have always longed for that but had a hard time finding them. Hope you get to enjoy these friendships often.
Ok, so you are the CUTEST pregnant person ever!
I love pregnant people! I’m with you on the girlfriends thing too. I’ve had a few over the years but it hasn’t been until recently that I’ve had a bunch too. I think girls are often mean because of insecurities (ok, there’s other reasons too) and for me I’m sure I was mean when I was younger and I felt girls were meaner too when I was younger – I guess when we have the most insecurities. But it is great to have girlfriends isn’t it?
Oh!!! I’m so sorry I missed Wee Paxton’s shower! You really look beautiful and I would have loved to try and get my arms around you. Jenni, you are an awesome woman, sister in Christ and a great girlfriend. I miss your face at Sunset like you can’t believe – you have created a void. I would love to see you and give your fabulously expensive and huge baby present – could we have lunch one of these days? xxoxxoxo JillyBean
i hated missing your party… and loved the reminder of how scary women were to us
you are ferociously loved.
