Pumpkin Patch

I never got to go to the pumpkin patch as a child.  Either because Chinese people don’t know what to do with pumpkins or because… um… that’s the only reason I can think of.

So, Brian and I are going to take our little ones to the pumpkin patch every year.  It’s nice to get out for some fresh air and kettle corn.

Lake View Farms has a couple of awesome attractions.  A train ride, a boat ride, a hay maze, a HUGE corn maze and a petting zoo.  Lots to do :)

We went today with the Whitacre’s and Isborn’s and we picked out three beautiful pumpkins.

Here are some pictures from today:

Happy Autumn, my friends!

This is what we did this weekend…

WHAT DID YOU DO???

    Looks like fun!
What did I do? I celebrated getting older.
I never did pumpkin patch/corn maze stff either…no one that I knew did. I think that, in this area anyway, it is something that popularized in the last couple of decades.

We used too go to that Pumpkin Patch when we were little! Do they still have the shark in the middle of the lake? I loved that part. Not very Halloween-ie though.

It looks as though you guys had a great time! Michael and I have been taking our kids to the same pumpkin patch since Mais was a “babe-in-arms” We’ve never missed a year. I love creating traditions like that.
