It’s been awhile.

Life has been kind of crazy… but in a really good way.  I’m learning about Brian… and loving every moment of it.  I’m seeing new parts of my Chance and Paxton’s personalities popping up.  I’m learning a lot about myself.  A lot about who I really am.  About who I’m MEANT to be… and about who I’m NOT, despite Satan’s crazy attempts to make me believe differently.

All that to say:  I don’t blog nearly as often as I used to.  I’m not as noisy… but I’m still here.

ANYHOO… Crystal is visiting Portland ALL week and so we thought we’d have some fun with it in the blogosphere.  Check out our video below:

New Banners

I finally got my personalized banners up.  There are five in rotation right now, but I’ve noticed that they come up in random order, so it may take awhile to see all five.

It took me forever to get them up because apparently, it’s pretty difficult to get somewhat decent shots of yourself when you’re usually the one behind the camera.  Brian was really great with the camera when I was pregnant… but let’s face it… who wants a preggo picture of themselves in a banner when they’re no longer pregnant, right?

We recently had a newborn/family photo session with Kimberly at Barefoot Photography.  I also had a maternity session with her.  What can I say???  She’s absolutely fantastic!!!  She’s SO fantastic that she agreed to create three of my five banners for me.  

I’m sure you can tell which one’s are hers —  the one’s that have perfect lighting and flawless in look… and the one’s that have her website stamped on them :)

I think one of the most important things we do for our families is to document our lives together.  The easiest way is through pictures.  My friend, Allison, takes about a million a day of her daughters.  I try… but I go through spells of consistency and INconsistency.  However… if you just plain SUCK at documenting with a camera, and you live in the Portland area, I would HIGHLY recommend you use Barefoot Photography.

You won’t be sorry!!!

It seems like it was just yesterday when Crystal won my 2,000th commenter award.  By the way… what music did you end up buying with your iTunes card, Crystal?

Looks like we’re approaching 3,000 in the near future.  I’m truly humbled that you read my blog.  I usually write mostly for my own entertainment, but words can’t express how happy I am when I get to read your comments here.

Thank you for your comments.  Please keep them coming… especially now that there is an incentive.

The 3,000th commenter will receive an AMAZING prize. I’m not sure what it is yet (we have a little ways to go), but I’ll figure it out soon and let you know.  :)
