Ok… not really… but I can pretend, right?
My friend, Becky Owens, gifted me two hours with a professional organizer from Restoring Order. And if that wasn’t awesome enough, the owner, Vicki Norris, gifted me another two hours after hearing about our housing crisis.
This is a dream gift for someone like me. HELLO… bringing someone in to help me be even MORE organized than I already am. That flippin’ ROCKS!
Amanda acted as my personal assistant for FOUR hours. She and I basically brainstormed what details I could have been missing regarding the move. Almost everything she brought up, I had already done or was on my list to be done later.
After a half hour, she said something along the lines of, “Well… looks like you’ve got everything pretty much planned out and done. What would you like me to do?” to which I replied, “Talk to Verizon!”
I HATE Verizon. Whenever I call them, I spend the majority of my day on the phone with them. So, Amanda called all the services we use to schedule a moving order. That took 3 hours, the majority of the time being with Verizon (I totally called it!!!). When I actually had to be on the phone to approve something, she folded my laundry, played with Chance or prepped the next detail to be worked on.
We now have very little left to do. Just some easy packing (literally, throw the remainder of the rooms in a box) and the physical part of moving. There’s definitely a LOT less anxiety swimming around in my head now.
I felt like Kimora Lee Simmons for a second with a personal assistant. But then I realized that I was missing the Bentleys, personal chef, large mansion, MORE personal assistants, couture wardrobe, supermodel status and height, glamourous career and SCHLOADS of money.
I am NOT Kimora Lee Simmons…
… but it still felt good to even think it for a second!
If anyone in the Portland area needs some help with organization, I would DEFINITELY refer you to Restoring Order. They are FANTASTIC!!! Thanks Becky… my dear friend
