… on video (for all of you who are interested, since i’m on a video kick right now).
Tam and Brent are good friends of ours. Actually, “friends” isn’t really the best word to describe our relationship with them. They’re more like FAMILY.
For as long as we’ve known them, we’ve known their bed is rubbish. It wasn’t the greatest quality bed to begin with but they had been sleeping on it for way to long.
Long story short, Brian came up with the idea to get them a new one. We couldn’t afford it by ourselves so we called in backup. We contacted a handful of our mutual friends and within 48 hours, enough money had come in not only for the new high-quality bed (that Diane, David and I found at a “ALL-MUST-GO” liquidation sale) but for bedding, new pillows as well.
Thank you, David & Diane, Gitz, Laura & Stephen, Joshua & Ryanne, Nicole, Mark and Cathi, Alece and Crystal for helping Brian and me make this happen. We love you, family!
You can read Tam’s post about it HERE as well.

we HAD to get it on video since so many of those who contributed weren’t there to see the reaction in real life, right?
thanks for being apart of making this happen, crystal!

Thats awesome.
I was able to give a new Macbook to a good friend, he is a missionary and on limited income and needed a computer to use for school and his photography. Giving it made me happier than getting my 1st one, which I also got as a gift 3 years ago.

I don’t “know” any of you in “real” life, but I’m in absolute tears right now as I see your “family-ship” unfold in twitterland on a regular basis so i kinda sorta feel like i “know” you a wee bit. but even without that wee bit this would still be a beautiful example of Christian love. thanks for sharing!

ahhh,I LOVED seeing this!
The last thing I was proud of giving out? Well, no big ticket items, but something equally as precious…. I’m a big fan of giving my time when I can, our services when we can, just offering help in the form of a meal even. Gives my life, our life, purpose and I honestly feel that is what God wants us to do most with our time. So, I focus on giving that instead of what I would TOTALLY do if I could…. which would be go on shopping sprees for everyone. ha!
Oh, I just remembered something….. a friend of mine had twins back in December, before her oldest was even 2. I had a Joovy tripple stroller that I barely used after I had Owen. It was still in PERFECT condition. I gave it to her b/c I knew she would need it, especially after her husband deployed. I also gave her my Medela breast pump (sorry Tam if you’re reading this LOL), and a crib we weren’t using anymore. Someone asked why I wasn’t going to sell it all instead, and I said that we have always been given SO MUCH, that when we can, we should freely give back. I don’t like selling my stuff, b/c we’ve always been given what we need when we need it either by family or friends. GIVEN. Freely.
Just this month, my mom gave us her van. Granted we are buying it from her, but she gave it to us 8 months earlier than we are able to buy it. That is HUGE for us as a family.

it’s easy to “step up” when you’ve been poured into by who you’re giving to. it’s more like giving BACK.

Thanks for catching this on video, babe. Love getting to see the moment, but really just love seeing you all together.
I don’t know if I’m really proud of giving… I just feel really grateful when I actually have a little extra for some reason and can contribute. I love having a chance to give if I have it.

awww i love it. you guys are awesome!
last gift i was proud of giving?? well i dont really have a lot of $ to buy gifts..i only have $10 in my bank right now..LOL…silver and gold have i non…. but what i do have is PRAYER. i love praying and interceding and and pressing into God’s throne room for others so i can share encouraging words and God’s heart to other people. i love how people’s faces light up after i pray for them…that is one of the best gifts i love to give.

prayer is the BEST gift. we need more of you in the world, patricia!

I don’t often have the opportunity to give financially, so I love to give of my time – and baked goods
I’m definitely a time person.
However, my brother & sister helped me to fly home (halfway across the country) to surprise my mum for her 50th last weekend. So I suppose I was the present
We almost made her cry. (no small task).
