Things I Did Today…

I didn’t twitter much today, which is weird for me, but I did it because I wanted to really spend some time with family.  I have less than 10 weeks with Chance being the only child and I really want to savor it.  This is what we did:

  1. Woke up & made blueberry pancakes for the boys.  I made Chance “Mickey Mouse” pancakes (just 3 circles… 1 big one for the head and 2 smaller ones as the ears).  He talked about them the first half of the day saying, “I ate Mickey Mouse… remember, Mommy?”
  2. Brian left for a meeting and I headed upstairs for a shower.  When I came downstairs, Chance had pulled out every art supply from our armoire and every toy from his toy chest.  It looked like a hurricane had hit my house.  It took us (yes, I always have him help me clean up HIS messes) 30 minutes just to clean it up.
  3. Chance and I left at 11am to find the following items at Target: special tiny round battery, stain removal stick (not the spray), journal for baby #2, legos.  None were at Target.  Weird, right?
  4. Went to a BBQ with our good friends, Jenn & Matt and their two kids David & Hannah.  Chance got to swim for a couple of hours and I got to sit and chat with Jenn.
  5. After the BBQ/swim, we decided to check out Mattress World to compare cost of new king sized beds.  We found an amazing memory foam bed and got them to throw in egyptian cotton 600 count sheets, a waterproof mattress cover and two high end pillows for 2/3′s the cost of the sleep number we had put a down payment on last weekend.  They specially make each individual bed so that’s pretty cool.  I only wish we had ALL the money now so I could have a new bed in two weeks instead of two months.
  6. We got home and Chance, who didn’t get a nap all day, decided he needed a nap… AT 5:30pm.  It’s 8:32 right now and he’s still asleep.  I hope he’s calling it a night… but he hasn’t had dinner.  Should I be worried?

I’m not really sure why I shared all this with you.  Today wasn’t any “out of ordinary day”, but overall… it was a pretty great day.
