Brian and I took Chance to see Veggie Tales Live tonight.
We had a friend (Michael Sainz) who went to the 3pm showing and twittered that it was NOT good. That was a bummer for us cause we were sort of looking forward to it, since Chance knows all the Veggie Tale songs and characters.
Michael was right. It was NOT good entertainment… for a 30 year old… but it was FANTASTIC for kids. Chance’s eyes were glued to the stage the whole time.
On our way home, Chance said:
“Mommy, Daddy… my fravorite part was the singing. What was YOUR fravorite part!”
I know… how cute that he says “fravorite”?
My favorite part was seeing my old friend, Hunter Lamb, who lives in Nashville. He actually has a twin named Hayden, who we lovingly named Chance after. Well… his middle name – Chance Hayden.
Anyway… Hunter’s on the 10 week tour with Veggie Tales as the stage manager. I haven’t seen him since I was pregnant with Chance. I met him back when he was the electric guitarist for a band called Our Hearts Hero. Soon after, he left that band to play electric for Paramore. Now, he’s married and onto bigger and better things
Obviously, since he lives in Nashville, Brian and I rarely get to see him. So, it was AWESOME when he texted me this morning to let me know he was here.
Some other favorites of the evening:
- Seeing Janet Fraser - I miss her all the time.
- Watching Chance enjoy every moment of the show. Best $30 I’ve spent in a long time.
- Seeing Tres too
- Eating Starburst candy. I haven’t had those forever. Man… those are good!
- Singing every single word of the Veggie Tale songs with Chance.

I went to Hong Kong Disneyland. It was really hot.
Church.worked at Somerset pool (last day of summer there).home.booked tickets to go see Beckie Kruse in AL for Thursday (crazy I know).bed.
Helen – you should note that you’re IN Hong Kong, so it wasn’t like you traveled over there just for Disneyland. BTW… how was it? Compared to Anaheim?
Jenna – you are a busy girl!
