Let’s just be real.
I think my friends are funny. I’m not saying I don’t have un-funny friends… but the reality is most of them are funny… cuz I like to laugh.
If you haven’t seen this yet… it’s about time. Carlos (Twitter: @loswhit) had a youtube video that went VIRAL!
Not that I didn’t laugh at this video or think that it was funny and cute, but in all honesty, I think Carlos has posted other videos that are WAY funnier… so make sure you stay on his youtube page and watch a few more of his videos.
Whichever way. This one is DEFINITELY worth a viewing… or 1,700,000.
The best part of all this is how Carlos has used his “15 minutes” in viral youtube land. He and Heather have boldly talked about adoption and how even though they started out thinking that by adopting Losiah, they would change HIS world… the reality is that LOSIAH has changed THEIR world for the better.
If you are able in any way to adopt, I’d love to invite you to look into what this could look like for your family.

Did YOU laugh at the crying Losiah?
initially, my reaction to losiah’s crying was “awwwww!!!”
then…i cracked up at how his sister gave los the stank eye!
oh. my. flip.

i’m with tam. the funniest part is the one daughter GLARING at her dad.
i still can’t get over how this went viral. cuh-ray-zee! but i love seeing how los and heather are leveraging their influence for something greater than themselves.
yeah. i don’t think Sohaila ONCE looked at Losiah or tried to comfort him. she just wanted Carlos to reverse time.

Definitely had a good laugh or two and have watched it on TV a hundred times! Awesome to get adoption out there like that.
Sadly, it’s not as easy as “wanting” to adopt. We have friends over here that have one adopted daughter and have been trying for years to adopt another. The hoops they make ya jump through are extraordinary…..I suppose, to some extent that’s good, but it’s hard to see the good when you’re the one waiting.
Word.

before we got pregnant with Chance, we were one of those waiting families. but the wait is ALWAYS worth it.
Two reasons I think the video went viral: 1) The “cringe factor” is high and 2) It perfectly captures so many elements of parenthood in such a short time.

You know what’s even funnier? Watching all those TV spots and saying “I know that family”!! Well, in an internet-kind-of-way! But, still. After following Los for over a year & getting to “know” all 5 of them made it kind of cool!
Sohalia was even funnier that Losiah’s face right before he started to cry! Those crossed arms meant business, too.
Losiah has changed all our lives! I mean, the album cover, not just the viral video! He is a precious child of God & Los & Heather & the girls are blessed by this addition!
And yes, I laughed.

Los is one of my blog/music/worship heroes, and I love the Whittakers in an internet-connection sorta way, but I hate to admit that I didn’t really laugh. Not only did I not laugh, but I also had the distinct thought: “The video wasn’t THAT funny – how’d it end up going viral? They have stuff that’s way funnier than that.”

I think the truth of the matter is that they have the favor of the Lord on their lives. Period. And God is opening doors for them. A lot. And praise God that they got to tell about adoption in the process.
