I know… it’s not Sunday – how can I have a worship confessional?

Well… I’m leading worship for Sunset’s Women’s Conference this weekend (Friday & Saturday), so hence, the setlists.

I’m gonna make this quick since I’m not feeling well and have two sick kiddos (Paxton just woke up crying… and stayed crying for 30 minutes just now.  That’s a REALLY long time for Pax… since he RARELY cries… EVER).

This year’s speaker is Susan Hill, the author of Closer Than Your Skin: Unwrapping the Mystery of Intimacy with God.  I was asked to lead worship for this event a few months ago and I quickly agreed because I LOVE these events where I get another opportunity to glean wisdom off of other women.  Of course, I asked Holly to lead with me

Tonight’s set:

The set went well… but I couldn’t get over my B string being just a bit off the WHOLE set.  No one noticed, but since we were using in-ear monitors, it just kept on RINGING in my ear the whole time.  To make it even worse, for some weird reason, the B string would ring LOUDER than all the other strings.  It took everything in me to just sing past it.

Even though everyone seemed to be worshiping with us, I couldn’t help but feel things were just a little off.  I know it was mostly internal… maybe a bit of a spiritual battle.  Maybe because I’m physically off too.

I’m hoping tomorrow will feel a lot better.  I hope I feel better… or I’ll be changing the keys of a few songs.
