Worship Confessional 05.25.08

Sorry I’ve been a bit out of touch.  The in-laws came in over the weekend, and though I’m quite addicted to blogs and blogging… I DO really like my family, so I chose to spend time with them instead.

Here’s the quick confessional from Overflow last Sunday.

We had a panel up on the platform talking about SEX.  We put Mike’s cell number up on the screens and had students text him their sex questions and he picked and chose from there to ask the panel.  Some questions were great – and some were just silly like, “Take off your shirt!”… but I guess that’s what you’d expect when you ask high schoolers to text you during the program.

Our set was short and sweet since we wanted to get to the meat of things on the panel:

1. Point of Difference – Hillsong
2. O Praise Him – David Crowder
3. Devotion – Hillsong

Because it was Memorial Day weekend, we decided to keep it simple.  We weren’t sure how many students would show up so we made it an acoustic set.  The team was:

1. Me – on Acoustic Guitar and Lead Vocals
2. Rebecca – on Acoustic Guitar and Vocals
3. Marshall – on Mandolin
4. Aaron – Snare, Kick & 1 cymbal with brushes

It was pretty sweet and intimate for a short set.  It’s always nice to change it up from the big band feel, ya know.

During the talk, I decided to text Mike some inappropriate questions.  He glared at me from the front and never answered them.
